This movie, rated 7.5 on IMDb, is a classic whodunnit tale, with a much more gripping end. It follows the story of Inspector Jatil Yadav in Kanpur, as he investigates the murder of a rich influential old patriarch, Raghuveer Singh, who is found murdered in his home, on his wedding night. Raat Akeli Hai, which wades through murder, corruption, patriarchy, and sexual horrors, is engaging for most parts. This movie has a lot going for it, and is worth watching for the seamless acting, convincing characters and compelling storyline.
