So, I watched Dil Bechara on Hotstar, and I realised it was extremely hard to watch the movie objectively. The late Sushant Singh Rajput, who was a talented Bollywood actor, plays the lead in this movie based on the 2012 tearjerker novel by John Green, The Fault In Our Stars. Dil Bechara is director Mukesh Chhabra’s debut movie & has Sushant Singh Rajput & Sanjana Sanghi in the lead roles, with music by the legendary musician A.R. Rahman. It comes to us in a time when the country is still reeling from the unexpected and horrific demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Rated 9.2 on IMDb, Dil Bechara is the star crossed story of two cancer patients, Immanuel Rajkumar Junior, and Kizie Basu, who have opposite outlooks towards life, and yet manage to find a love that goes beyond them. Based in Jamshedpur, this story manages to make you laugh, cry and appreciate life. The movie is now available on the streaming service, Disney + Hotstar, for subscribers & non-subscribers.
